AFTER a two-year gap, The Haven Hotel, in Dunmore East, is delighted to be hosting another Dinner Dance in aid of The Holy Ghost Residential Home, on Wednesday, 27th October.

The Holy Ghost is a charitable organisation that offers care for older persons who do not require full-time nursing home care. All those involved with the home — which has a capacity of 60 — hope to continue enhancing care to senior citizens in Waterford.

The event was the brainchild of Gerry Cullen, former Royal Showband member and resident of the home. “We held this event two years ago and it was a tremendous success. I really want to give something back for the care the team at The Holy Ghost have given me, without which I would not be alive,” Gerry said.

The evening will kick off at 6pm with a Prosecco Reception, followed by a three-course meal and then dancing to Brass & Co, with a guest appearance from Richie Hayes. A free return bus will be running from Waterford and must be booked when tickets are purchased.

Paul Kelly, owner and manager of The Haven Hotel, said: “100% of proceeds from the event are going to the Home. If any individuals or businesses can offer spot prizes, buy tickets, or sponsor any element of the event, the support would be hugely appreciated.”

Tickets are €30, please call: 089 216 2201 to purchase.
