John Paul Construction have teamed up with local Waterford club, Park Rangers AFC to support the future progression of the community football hub.
With an existing infrastructural connection to Waterford, having built the Ferrybank Shopping Centre in 2009 and developing the Basuch and Lomb FCE Project and Area 9 Expansion, completed this year, this time the company returns to “pitch” in to support local community resources.
John Paul Construction have been working with Park Rangers Football Club, one of the county’s fastest growing soccer clubs, as part of its community development programme since September 2020. Their contribution will go towards the development of a new entrance way, flagpoles, and landscaping on the football grounds. The construction specialists will also use their expertise to advise the football club throughout the upgrades.

Located in Faithlegg, Cheekpoint, Co. Waterford, the club is home to more than 28 teams and 63 coaches, including 12 Waterford Schoolboy League teams, four schoolgirl teams, men’s and ladies’ teams, and a football for all team.
Speaking on the decision to work with Park Rangers Football Club, Niall O’Connor, Construction Director at John Paul Construction, said: “We have been working in Waterford for over 14 years, and have a significant number of staff from the region so we were delighted to be part of this development with Park Rangers. As a club they provide such an important contribution to the community well-being through coaching, the grounds and young player development.”
